The process of "opening" the University of Warsaw  for the needs of persons with disabilities has been lasting since the beginning of the 90's. In oder to speed up this process in the academic year  1996/97 there was established a post of the Plenipotentiary of the Rector for Persons with Disabilities . In  may 1999r. a basic document of the program "University for all" was confirmed (accepted by the Rector's authorities. This documents outlined directions of systematic and long-term activities striving at cancellation various barriers in access to the University offer. The next step was signing up an Agreement between the University of Warsaw and the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, c concerning cooperation in realization of the program on 27-th September1999. The "University for all"  program  implementation in 1999-2003 was based on this Agreement. [read more]

The Project was realized from 2003 till 2005. Its basic aim was to provide the University staff with a suitable knowledge and skills  necessary for working with persons with disabilities. 

The project was financed by the  L. Kronenberg Bank Foundation , the Warta Foundation and the  University of Warsaw. [description of the project]
