In the Center there are 10 computer workstations with installed speaking devices and software
that enables the blind persons to read books.
Persons impaired in vision can use screen enlargers and enlarging programs. This way the blind and impaired in vision students are able to read
by themselves an indispensable literature, prepare works in writing and use the Internet.
The Laboratory has a workstation for students impaired in motion, and for persons with hands disability. Thank to special keyboards there is possible
to work with a computer even with very limited hands dexterity.
The Computer Center services can be used not only by students of the University of Warsaw, but also by the blind and impaired
in vision students of other Warsaw higher education institutions and the youth from Warsaw high schools.
The conditions of their access to offered services are defined in a document
“Rules for using the Computer Center services”.
